Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers
The Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL) is a leading private intercontinental network for lawyers and accountants.
IGAL was founded in 2004 as a result of a merger of two networks dating back to 1976, and currently operates in over 45 countries.
IGAL’S purpose is to enable its members to provide to their clients international legal, auditing and accountancy services of the highest standard in different jurisdictions and to generate business opportunities for the members and their clients across the world.
We have been involved with IGAL for over 18 years and Senior Partner, Jane Laidler, was elected as the network’s President in 2018:
“Greenwoods GRM is well known for its international expertise, particularly for clients from the German-speaking countries, the US, Italy and South Korea.
I have been fortunate enough to see IGAL and its network grow in line with our own expansion. IGAL enables us to develop and extend our international relationships through this leading network of professionals from across the globe.”
The next generation
Most recently, the focus of the IGAL Board has been to encourage the next generation of professionals to get involved – key to IGAL in the same way as it is to Greenwoods GRM.
IGAL now runs an ‘exchange programme’ to facilitate opportunities for staff and partners of member firms to visit and/or to host visitors from other member firms. We are eager to take advantage of this opportunity, and several of our employees have already been involved with the Network.
