Sarah specialises in construction law, dealing with a wide variety of both contentious and non-contentious issues.
She has a wealth of experience in construction litigation, but similarly works with clients on dispute avoidance by trying to reach negotiated settlements where possible. Sarah is also involved in drafting a variety of construction contracts for development projects and advising on consultant appointments.
Working alongside our Regulatory team, Sarah is also able to assist clients with health and safety compliance, both during the pre-construction phase by providing advice on CDM obligations, policies and protocols through to defending companies and their directors in criminal prosecutions following health and safety breaches and on-site accidents.
Clients praise Sarah for providing a clear practical case plan based on their commercial needs and objectives. Sarah’s approachable manner enables her to work well with clients who appreciate her enthusiasm and dedication.
Sarah is a junior member of the Society of Construction Law, and sits on the committee for the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce Construction Sector and the editorial panel for the Construction Industry Publications Construction Health and Safety Manual.
Sarah enjoys cooking, reading and travelling, and loves spending her spare time planning her next trip away.

“Sarah Lidgett is very organised and efficient. The day I went to court for the injunction, Sarah and the barrister made sure I was fully aware of proceedings. I found Sarah to be very capable and easy to approach.” (The Legal 500)
