John heads up the “tier 1” ranked Employment team at Greenwoods GRM. He is considered a leading employment expert by both the legal 500 and Chambers and Partners and has a wealth of experience advising on all aspects of employment law. John delivers accurate and insightful solutions when you need them.
He also recognises the importance of the human element in any employment matter. He has a degree in Psychology and is a trained counsellor. His skill is therefore to deliver practical solutions that will actually work in the highly complex field of human relationships.
Having undertaken a number of secondments at major household name organisations, working side by side with large and sophisticated HR teams, John understands how legal advice can best be tailored to suit both the commercial needs of the client and the practical realities of working life. He has developed particular expertise in helping clients successfully navigate their way through large scale business re-organisations and difficult TUPE transfers.
In addition to his employment law expertise, John has significant experience advising on data privacy. He has advised clients on a diverse range of issues including the effective handling of subject access requests, management of data breaches and the use of privacy notices and data protection policies.
John has also been instrumental in the development of our Employment team’s training programme, which delivers seminars and workshops, both regionally and nationally, on a wide range of topics, and which has consistently received excellent feedback from clients
