Our continuing response to COVID-19

Now well into our fourth week of national lockdown, our lives are slowly beginning to adjust to circumstances unthinkable even just a few weeks ago. 

There’s no doubt this is a very difficult time for everyone. Following my update shortly after working from home was first being encouraged, I want to write again to update you about how the measures we put in place to ensure we continued ‘business as unusual’ are working.

I am also keen to make sure you are benefiting from the insight and guidance we are preparing both for those leading organisations and individuals who wish to review their personal arrangements, particularly in respect of powers of attorney and Wills.

Supporting our clients
Everyone here can access our systems remotely, and our business infrastructure, which was designed to fully support secure and confidential remote working, is working well.  Our excellent systems continue to ensure client service continues at our usual high standards.  We could not be more pleased at our migration to working from home during the lockdown.

In addition to our busy corporate teams, our Private Client team is working hard to ensure that clients keen to make and update their Wills have the peace of mind of doing so.  And they are using innovative methods to ensure everyone stays safe and socially distances whilst doing so.  There are real examples of ‘business unusual’ here!

Supporting our teams
It is important to us to ensure our teams are supported and safe, and guidance is in place.  Our team spirit remains high, as we work hard to ensure no one feels isolated, and remote working has had little impact.  Levels of collaboration across teams are at an all-time high.  Something that clients benefit immensely from too.

We have run Q&A webinars for the HR and construction communities to help them to understand the issues for their organisations, so they can move forward practically and with confidence.

And we have sent out over 55 email updates to highlight developments and to provide insight and guidance as to next steps. You can sign-up for them here.

We have supported clients with the legal aspects of them adjusting their usual operations to assist with the national fight against coronavirus.

We have also launched our ‘COVID-19 Legal Toolkit’, helping those leading businesses to ensure important legal issues are not overlooked. Our clients told us they wanted key information in one document, so we’ve delivered it. Download it here.
