New immigration law partner at Greenwoods GRM

/ 19 November 2021

Matthew Lynch has recently joined us to lead our Immigration team.  It is a complex and high-risk area of law that clients are increasingly seeking specialist support and advice on.

Joining us from a Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked “Big 4” Professional Services firm, Matthew has over 10 years experience of leading UK inbound services for high profile multinational companies across a range of sectors including Technology, Consulting and Oil & Gas.

Keith Williams, employment law partner, is delighted to welcome Matthew to the team: “Our clients are already benefiting from Matthew’s skills and expertise. Immigration law is such a tricky area, clients often try to ‘go it alone’ but without expert advice, things can go wrong resulting in a significant impact on business strategy and operations.”

Matthew understands the importance of combining technical legal knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach to help clients navigate a complex area in a cost-effective and efficient manner whilst ensuring the mitigation of risk.

Matthew speaks regularly on immigration law issues, most recently at Business Forums International, The Growth Company and Expat Academy.

Matthew can support and advise your organisation on:

  • Sponsor Licences
  • Business Visitor compliance
  • Designing a UK inbound immigration programme
  • Compliance audits
  • Immigration Rules changes
  • Responding to government consultations
  • Representing business needs at policy development bodies
  • Specialist visa categories such as Seasonal Workers or International Agreements

Matthew is currently putting together a detailed briefing note reflecting on the various immigration challenges clients have faced over the last 18 months and outlining what the future may hold which all businesses will find valuable.  This will be available via our Employment Law Now email updates. If you are not a subscriber sign-up here. Or simply get in touch with Matthew to request a copy.
