Greenwoods GRM heartfelt fundraising efforts for Cardiomyopathy UK in 2019
In 2019, Greenwoods GRM selected Cardiomyopathy UK as its charity of the year. The firm is delighted to announce they have managed to raise £4200 through a series of events and activities.
Cardiomyopathy UK is a specialist charity for people affected by the heart condition cardiomyopathy a disease of the heart muscle affecting people of all ages. The charity provides support and information services and works to raise awareness. They also campaign for better access to quality treatment and research.
The fundraising efforts of the firm included a team of nine employees take on the Snowden Horse Shoe, a well-known and gruelling mountain challenge. The brave team battled the elements whilst mountain biking and hiking.
Charity challenges are an integral part of the firms fundraising efforts with previous challenges including, a 40-mile night walk around Rutland Water, a 100-mile cycle from the highest pub in England to the lowest and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
However, not all efforts have been quite so physically challenging, regular bake sales and themed dress down days have helped get the full firm involved.
Greenwoods GRMs connection with Cardiomyopathy will continue through 2020 as Senior Associate Clare Harris will be taking on the London Marathon on the 26 April 2020. Being her first marathon, she has already raised an amazing £1,670 (92% of her target).
Clare said: “One of the pleasures of undertaking the challenges for Cardiomyopathy UK on behalf of Greenwoods GRM is that I have learned more about the charity, the people behind the scenes and families directly affected by the condition. The charity does a fantastic job!”
Clare has already raised £1308 for the charity by running The Great North Run. Greenwoods GRM is incredibly proud of Clare and her remarkable achievements. If you would like to support her London Marathon efforts please follow this link.
