Greenwoods GRM demonstrates its commitment to promote and support good mental health in the legal community

On 20 July 2020, Rob Dillarstone, managing partner of Greenwoods GRM , signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge on behalf of the firm.  

Time to Change is run by the mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.  It has been at the forefront of a growing movement to remove the barriers we face in opening up about our mental health since 2007.

Greenwoods GRM is proud to join more than 1,500 organisations from all sectors who have signed up to play their part.  Organisations are awarded the pledge on the basis of an approved plan that sets out how we are taking action to improve staff wellbeing.

As “lawyers you’ll enjoy working with”, we want everyone at Greenwoods GRM to feel happy and healthy at work.  One in four of us will be experiencing a mental health problem at any one time.  The pledge is our commitment to implementing measures that change the way we think and act to support good mental health at every level of the firm.

Rob Dillarstone said: “Life in the law can be challenging.  Greenwoods GRM has implemented a wide range of mental health initiatives and we have dedicated mental health first aid champions on hand to support our teams.  Now more than ever, equipping our people with the skills to manage their own emotional health and look out for others is paramount.  We want to support our colleagues as much as we can and this is our pledge to them.  Their mental health is our priority.”

Kathryn Gilbertson said: “Mental health is about how we think, feel and behave.  Anxiety and depression are the most common mental health problems.  This pledge is part of our response to support our colleagues and achieve the Health & Safety at Work Act Mental Health Core Standards.”
