Corporate & Commercial Director, Alastair Gunn, takes on a leading role in our Agri sector

Agriculture and rural business / 08 December 2017

We are pleased to bring the corporate and commercial expertise of Alastair Gunn to our Agri & Rural Business sector.  His knowledge strengthens our offering to businesses operating in Agriculture as he brings significant experience in corporate transactional matters.

He has a strong reputation with clients who say his personable, pragmatic approach makes him easy to work with.

In 2017, Greenwoods was delighted to win the Farming & Agriculture Awards ‘Agricultural Solicitor of the Year – Peterborough’.  This reflects our commitment as a firm to delivering the best legal service to rural businesses and is evidence of the team’s passion for farming. The majority of the team has a family interest in farming. They know agriculture.

Similarly, Alastair, a director in our Corporate & Commercial team, already works extensively with agricultural clients and businesses with an agricultural application.

Recent projects have included advising a client in relation to a 1,200 acre purchase of a Pembrokeshire dairy farm and advising agri-business clients in relation to joint ventures, collaboration agreements and a wide variety of commercial arrangements.

Jeremy Stanton, who heads up the Greenwoods Agri team, says: “We are increasingly focused on businesses with an agricultural application, as the sector becomes increasingly technological.  Alastair brings the legal skills we need to advise a growing number of clients who require the level of corporate legal expertise and commercial experience Alastair has.”

Alastair will happily discuss any rural business issues you have, and if appropriate, would be pleased to come out to meet you and find out more about your operations.
