Construction Leadership Council publishes new site operating procedures
On 20 October 2020, the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) published the sixth edition of the construction site operating procedures (updating the 5th edition published in July 2020).
While there are no significant changes to social distancing requirements on construction sites, the CLC has made changes to reflect the Government’s current guidance. It also includes details of the current social distancing requirements and incorporated its guidance on the use of face coverings (see our recent slide deck summary relating to this here).
With the threat of the second wave of coronavirus cases and consequential tiered lockdown systems, the CLC is reminding construction workers of the importance of “social distancing outside of work, in order to protect themselves and others and help keep construction sites open.”
If you would like to know more about the new site operating procedures, COVID-19 secure measures and/or any other health and safety-related issue, please do get in touch.
